To start, simply insert your leader into the slot, adjust the position of the indicator for the desired depth and twist the top and bottom of the indicator to tighten it on your line. 

When you move to another spot or want to fish a different depth, you can quickly adjust the length of your leader with just a quick twist. Because of the slotted design, you can install, remove or adjust the position of the indicator without completely unscrewing it and without cutting off and re-tying your fly. Locks tight on even smaller tippet sizes.
